About the RCH Auxiliaries
The Royal Children’s Hospital Auxiliaries are community groups established to raise funds for a particular cause. There are over 85 auxiliaries that support The Royal Children’s Hospital in the quest to help their patients recover from illness and maintain good health and well-being.
Well over 1000 members make up our auxiliary volunteer fundraising community. All auxiliary members who work for the RCH at the hospital and ‘in the field’ are guided by the same principal goal as all the staff at the hospital:
We are one team, working towards one goal - making sick kids better.
Auxiliaries play their part by raising funds across areas of research, leadership and training, technology and equipment, patient and family centred care.
Auxiliariy members live with a team attitude close to heart every day, all working to support the work of the RCH. Each individual auxiliary is a team, and part of the larger Auxiliaries team, which in turn is an important facet of the Foundation team.
Auxiliaries work on a wide variety of projects, raise funds in a myriad of ways and hold dear many special causes. There is a special culture of community, teamwork, dedication and selflessness that gives the RCH Auxiliaries the strength and resilience to keep up their inspiring work and strive towards the greater good.
Auxiliaries are also part of the Good Friday Appeal team, and the greater Victorian community team.
